- Preparing detailed cost estimates for MEP works as per project designs and specifications.
- Assisting with the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of supplier bids, and negotiation of contracts for MEP services and materials.
- Developing and maintaining accurate complete and accurate BoQ's for MEP components
- Managing and administering contracts, tracking variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Monitoring budgets and expenditures; providing cost reports and forecasts for financial outcomes.
- Conducting interim valuations and processing contractor payment applications
- Identifying potential cost risks and suggesting actions to manage and mitigate them.
- Managing cost implications of project changes
- Preparing and agreeing final accounts for services, reconciling all costs at the end of the project.
- Working closely with all stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
- Preparing recommendations for Clients' approval
- Possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
- Preferably hold a professional membership
- Demonstrate at 5 years+ experience as a QS on building services projects (preferably large scale hospitality, commercial and/or industrial)
- Be proficient with cost estimation software and preferably be familiar with BIM processes
- Have a valid driving license
- Have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
- Be assertive and have the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Be capable of handling several projects simultaneously
