Our client, a prominent company operating in the Hospitality & Retail sector is looking to strengthen their finance team with the addition of a Group Accountant. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operation of some companies within the group.Responsibilities:

Monitoring and handling the day-to-day accounting tasks including monthly reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and other financial reports
Preparing and filing of VAT returns, Eco Contribution returns and any other statutory reporting required
Supervise and oversee the work of junior staff members
Preparing reports for monthly management accounts
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
Monitoring of credit control
Assist with the annual audit
Other ad hoc duties as needed from time to time

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of previous local experience in a similar role up until the preparation of management accounts
Hospitality experience will be considered a strong asset
Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
Adaptable and able to work in a fast paced environment

Education and Experience

Actively studying ACCA or equivalent
