- NVQ Level 5 qualification or equivalent level of education;
- Details-oriented and accurate, able to work comfortably with financial data, legal documents and reporting;
- Experience of designing, monitoring and implementing HR solutions including time & attendance, rosters and schedules for various types of teams;
- Experience in global HR platforms, Shireburn Indigo and T&A;
- Pleasant and collaborative personality, patient and able to communicate clearly and diplomatically with the ability to keep strict confidentiality;
- Committed and interested in staff wellbeing;
- Good level of written and spoken English is essential – French would be an asset;
- Able to work pro-actively and under pressure to tight deadlines;
- HR or management experience in multinational corporations would be an asset;
- The ability to travel is essential (mainly East Africa, one to two weeks duration).
- Taking responsibility for implementing comprehensive HR support services relating to the entire staff employment life-cycle [from recruitment to termination] of assigned departments or teams;
- Ensuring day-to-day compliance with HR best practice, ISO 9001 standards and applicable employment legislation;
- Maintaining accurate staff records and data using HR software including Shireburn Indigo;
- Organising and collating HR data to support payroll, time & attendance checks, reporting and strategy requirements;
- Maintaining an ongoing and positive relationship with Payroll Subcontractors in Malta and overseas, answering queries and liaising with them on behalf of HR and Finance where necessary;
- Drawing up employment contracts, secondment agreements, internship documentation and other formal documents;
- Liaising with junior HR officials in other Group subsidiaries to compile documents, exchange experience and facilitate compliance with Group HR procedures and policies;
- Ensuring that the Group identity and culture is maintained and developed consistently and in line with high standards across all international teams;
- Carrying out research and liaising with local authorities and legal advisors on employment legislation and requirements in Malta and other countries in which we operate;
- Planning and organising induction and training programmes, team-building events and Corporate Social Responsibility activities;
- Arranging for work Permits and renewals for staff from third countries where necessary;
- Compiling and submitting forms to Jobs Plus and other governmental departments as required.
