- To follow short and long-term strategy directives and provide feedback relevant to applicable sports. Ensure customers receive excellent quality of service by providing competitive coverage and pricing across the sports offer.
- Ensuring all Euro Sports content, features, and promotions (for which you are assigned) are correctly displayed on the website.
- Ensure the brand(s) comply with the legal, regulatory and revenue requirements as determined by the various authorities.
- Regular communication with Head of Sport(s), Head of Trading, and all other SPO vertical Heads (Strategy / Product / Risk) to adopt department strategy and drive progression.
- Maintain dialogue with non-trading departments (marketing, compliance, CS, UX, Dev, etc..) to align projects, developments, strategy, and procedures.
- Carry out appropriate (requested and pro-active) research and analysis across your sport(s) with timely commentary and reporting on trends, changes, statistical analysis of sports/events/markets to identify deficiencies/failings in our offer.
- Active comment on trading tools and processes, product testing on stage & production environments, raising BO and FO issues, and making suggestions for improvements.
- Analysis of customer activity with a view to protecting sustainable profit margin(s) across trading activity – you are expected to maintain regular and accurate communication with the Profiling Team and follow department policy with regards to communicating risk.
- Integration and management of 3rd party providers in line with business needs and department strategy.
- Continuous review of current configurations & risk management settings and providing suggestions to the Head of Sport(s).
- Enhance an automated offer with a manual and non-provider-driven offer, both pre-event and IP
- Ensure resulting duties are covered in a timely manner, and response to Customer Service / VIP teams remains at a high level.
- Follow all department and company procedures & guidelines regarding trading procedures, risk management, rota compilations, holiday bookings, sickness, and absence. If there is a lack of appropriate or relevant procedures/guidelines, this should be raised with your line manager.
- Have awareness of the T&C's across sports, understand compliance restrictions across traded sports, and escalate any issues arising.
- You have sports trading experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a trading role.
- You have good knowledge of some of the following sports: Rugby, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Handball, Motorsports, Athletics, Waterpolo and Winter Sports.
- You have a strong understanding of fixed odds, betting exchanges, and betting principles.
- You can work unsociable hours (weekends/evenings/holidays) based on the business needs and sporting calendar.
- You are experienced in using 3rd party trading providers.
- You demonstrate strong English language proficiency and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You have a strong proficiency in MS Office programs - particularly Excel.
- You are a self-motivated and autonomous professional with strong analytical capabilities.
- You demonstrate excellent organisational skills and effective time management.
