Job DescriptionOur client is a fast-growing company that designs, supplies, and installs renewable energy and resource-efficient systems, such as solar and water treatment solutions, for homes and businesses. They are currently seeking to recruit a Technical Team Leader to join their team. He/she will be responsible for leading installation teams, overseeing installation projects of renewable energy systems and ensure that they meet the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and managing installation teams on-site for renewable energy projects, and ensuring that they are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Undergoing troubleshooting and fault findings exercises on renewable energy systems, ensuring that they are fully functional and fulfill client and manufacturing requirements.
  • Interpreting project schematics and design plans to ensure proper placement and installation of system components for correct job completion.
  • Preparing and coordinating materials, tools and any equipment necessary for all projects, while ensuring that they are all available and adequate for use, and in working order.
  • Interacting with stores to manage inventory, procuring the necessary materials, and maintaining an organised work ethic for ongoing and future installations.
  • Ensuring that works comply with relevant local codes, standards and regulations.
  • Conducting system testing and commissioning to confirm proper operation and performance following completion of job/installation.
  • Maintaining tools, vehicles and company equipment to ensure that they are in good operating condition and ready to use.
  • Communicating with clients on-site, explaining system operation and addressing any questions or concerns. Conducting basic training of system operation to client handling including handing over manuals to clients.
  • Documents all work processes, including installations, testing and maintenance, to ensure compliance and quality control.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Electrical or mechanical qualifications or proof of relevant experience is required for this role.
  • A minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role is necessary.
  • Ability to perform fault finding and troubleshooting exercises in both electrical and mechanical systems is essential for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills in English is required for this role. Knowledge of the Maltese language is an asset.
  • Any previous experience in renewable energy installation is considered an asset.
  • Possess a clean driving license.
