Responsible for performing vessel/boat maintenance, polishing, antifouling, and minor mechanical repairs while assisting mechanics when required.Purpose To carry out polishing, antifouling, vessel maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs while providing assistance to mechanics and ensuring excellent customer service. Primary Responsibilities Maintenance, Repairs & Product Sales Perform scheduled and responsive maintenance services on vessels. Provide accurate estimates for repairs, maintenance, and products in liaison with the Aftersales Coordinator/Manager. Ensure all work is authorized before commencement. Make efficient use of materials, equipment, and labour to maximize productivity. Conduct vessel testing and diagnostics as required. Interpret and implement technical service instructions. Record time worked, materials, and consumables used. Report existing and potential vessel faults during service. Quality & Technical Support technical staff by providing guidance and assistance. Stay updated on technical issues, bulletins, and updates. Maintain company tools and equipment in good working condition. Ensure housekeeping and safe working practices within the workshop. Participate in required training, meetings, and seminars. Administration & Procedures Accurately complete company documentation and time allocations. Follow all warranty procedures in line with company and manufacturer policies. Customer Communications Assess customer requirements by visiting vessels and listening to concerns. Provide clear, jargon-free explanations of technical issues, repairs, and warranties. Maintain professionalism, sincerity, and courtesy in all customer interactions. Build and sustain strong customer relationships by exceeding expectations. General Duties Maintain high standards of personal appearance, cleanliness, and uniform. Comply with company rules, regulations, policies, and health & safety requirements. Be alert to fire, safety, and security risks, reporting any hazards immediately. Promote respect, teamwork, and collaboration with colleagues. Carry out finishing or make specific decorations: sanding
Carry out finishing work: colouring, varnishing (staining), painting
Organise and check maintenance of boat and relative equipment
Inform client on damage to furniture and appliances and if possible make repairs
Replace windows or repair cracks and dents
Repair or replace handles, glass, rails of doors and windows
Detect faulty parts and replace them as part of repair and maintenance works
Organise, plan and follow-up precautionary or corrective maintenance works
