- Prepare and present high-quality sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, while adhering to traditional techniques
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Source and select fresh, high-quality ingredients to ensure the best flavour and presentation
- Continuously create new sushi recipes and innovate the menu based on seasonal ingredients
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hotel environment
- Knowledge of sushi-making techniques and Japanese cuisine
- Exceptional knife skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Creativity and willingness to experiment with new dishes
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
