- Develop and implement overarching sales strategies, ensuring full integration into the annual budgeting process.
- Prepare and manage the annual Sales Budget, maintaining adherence throughout the year while submitting accurate and timely forecasts to the General Manager.
- Analyse forecast performance and implement corrective measures where required to ensure targets are achieved.
- Establish, monitor, and drive performance targets and objectives for both the team and individual members.
- Ensure effective cross-departmental collaboration, aligning all functions towards common commercial objectives.
- Monitor market dynamics, identifies emerging trends, and evaluates competitor activity to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities to generate new revenue streams and optimise existing ones.
- Anticipate future business needs and support strategic decision-making across sales and marketing functions in collaboration with the team.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver the hotel’s vision in terms of revenue growth and market positioning.
- Review and authorise all sales-related expenditures in line with budgetary guidelines.
- Build and lead high-performing teams through effective communication, motivation, and ongoing training initiatives.
- Conduct structured performance appraisals for direct reports, ensuring continuous development and accountability.
- Support the General Manager in the development and execution of pricing strategies and related commercial decisions.
- Introduce and refine operational procedures to enhance departmental productivity and efficiency.
- Oversee database management, ensuring continuous growth through strategic partnerships and third-party channels.
- Review, monitor, and evaluate 90-day action plans across all sub-departments to ensure progress against objectives.
- Prepare and review comprehensive end-of-month reports, providing insights into performance and key metrics.
- Chairs weekly Sales Meetings, driving alignment, accountability, and performance tracking.
- Ensures achievement of rolling three-month sales targets in line with overall business objectives.
- Progressive experience in sales within the hospitality industry, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a five-star or luxury hotel environment
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving or exceeding sales targets across multiple segments, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Conferences & Events
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, including pricing, yield management, and market segmentation
- Strong background in managing key accounts and establishing high-level partnerships with corporate clients, travel trade partners (including OTAs, DMCs, and airlines), and luxury brands
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales teams within a structured, target-driven environment
- Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis within a hotel setting
