An IT Team Leader is responsible for managing a team of IT professionals and overseeing projects.Role Overview: An IT Team Leader is responsible for managing and guiding a team of IT professionals, ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives. They oversee IT projects, provide technical support, and optimize IT processes to enhance productivity and security. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. Key Responsibilities: 1. Team Management & Leadership Supervise, mentor, and support IT team members. Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor team performance. Conduct training sessions and encourage skill development. Foster collaboration and a positive work environment. 2. IT Project Management Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects to ensure timely delivery. Manage resources and budgets effectively. Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements. Identify and mitigate project risks. 3. Technical Oversight & Support Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and problem resolution. Ensure the proper functioning of IT infrastructure, software, and hardware. Implement and enforce IT security protocols. Stay updated on new technologies and recommend improvements. 4. Process Improvement & Strategy Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures. Optimize workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity. Identify opportunities for automation and system upgrades. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. 5. Communication & Collaboration Act as a bridge between IT and other departments. Report progress, challenges, and recommendations to senior management. Work with vendors and third-party service providers as needed. Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of IT issues. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and security. Proficiency in system administration, databases, and cloud computing. Experience with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.). Familiarity with software development and IT support processes. Soft Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure. Education & Experience: Several years of experience in IT, with leadership or supervisory experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CompTIA, Cisco, AWS) are a plus.ProfilesCompetencies
