- Act as the primary subject matter expert for the Swedish gambling market. Own the end-to-end interpretation and implementation of SGA license obligations to ensure total regulatory alignment.
- Lead the submission of all periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant authorities.
- Act as a dedicated consultant for Customer Experience and Marketing teams. Provide actionable advice on promotional compliance, player interaction strategies, AML and Responsible Gambling (RG).
- Lead deep-dive investigations and draft high-quality responses for complaints escalated to third-party dispute resolution bodies (e.g. ARN).
- Conduct formal gap analyses on new regulatory requirements and relevant court decisions.
- Own the execution of internal and external audits and participate in the maintenance of ISO 27001 standards.
- Draft and optimise internal policies and Terms & Conditions. Balance legal rigidity with operational efficiency to ensure a seamless but compliant user experience.
- Design and deliver specialised training sessions for various departments, fostering a proactive, "compliance-first" mindset across the organisation.
- Provide leadership and serve as a key point of reference for any direct reports, supporting performance, development, and team alignment.
- Optimise compliance-related processes and procedures, including through leveraging AI.
- Maintain an independent and proactive attitude, identifying potential risks before they materialise and proposing strategic recommendations to the Director of Compliance.
- 4+ years of iGaming compliance experience with a proven track record of managing the Swedish (SGA) market alongside at least one other Tier-1 jurisdiction.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or a related field will be considered an asset.
- Speak and write fluently in English and Swedish, with the ability to build trust with both internal teams and external authorities.
- Hands-on experience leading license applications, regulatory notifications, renewals, and acting as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrated experience leading external audits and ensuring standards are met.
- Proven ability to partner with Product and Tech teams to advise on the integration of regulatory requirements into the development lifecycle.
- Skilled in using Jira, automated reporting tools, and back-office platforms to analyse data and build high-stakes regulatory reports.
- Exceptional at prioritising complex tasks and driving cross-departmental change in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work autonomously with awareness of when to escalate matters and when tasks could be handled independently.
- Strong ability to profile risks and benefits to ensure the long-term protection of our licenses.
