Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the operations team, ensuring smooth functioning.
Manage ad hoc requests and duties from various clients, addressing operations queries promptly.
Supervise client transaction execution, including trade settlements, account openings, and maintenance. Participate in the hiring process to onboard qualified personnel for the operations team.
Establish and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to industry standards.
Review and approve external payments, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
Serve as the primary expert on operational matters, addressing client queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Ensure timely completion of all operational tasks and maintain records of overdue tasks and operational risk events.
Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial operations.
Review and submit regulatory reports generated by the operations team.
Act as a backup for other members of the operations team when needed.

Skills/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience in custody operations or similar role in a financial institution.
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop a team.
