- Is a self-motivated all-rounder who can work alone diligently, and within a team;
- Is in possession of an A’ Level standard of Education: in Accounts or early stages of ACCA;
- Has previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset;
- Is Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office applications;
- Is fluent in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in Maltese, or any other European language would also be an asset;
- Performing general accounting duties, checking, processing and posting sales / purchases invoices, suppliers’ payments and reconciliations; posting bank transactions, bank reconciliations;
- Collecting cash sales (cash and cheques), preparing the necessary deposits and processing same through the accounting system;
- Preparing VAT returns and financial data required for official bodies and Government departments when necessary;
- Issuing monthly or weekly reports;
- Data inputting, reconciliations or other analysis as required;
- Performing general reporting, office and administrative support functions including maintaining records.
