Meliá Hotels International in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Night Receptionist to join the Affiliated by Meliá Hotels located in St. Julian's, on a full-time basis.Overview: This person will support all the activities related to Front Office.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Check-in and check-out hotel guests in a timely and professional service-oriented mannerProcess all payments according to established proceduresGreet and welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner in accordance with the hotel's standardsRegister guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room locationUp-sell rooms when possible, to maximize hotel revenueAccurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established proceduresComplete any required reporting (financial and non-financial)Assist with Reservations tasksCommunicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-upRespond appropriately to guest complaintsMake appropriate service recovery gestures in order to ensure total guest satisfactionAnswer guest inquiries about hotel service, facilities, and hours of operationAnswer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etcCollaborate on and follow company policies, practices, and procedures in order to maintain internal controlsPerform other duties as assigned.Requirements:Candidate must be available to work predominantly night shifts including weekends and/or holidaysMust be fluent in English; other languages are preferred1-year experience in a fast environment in the same or similar position in a hotel/resortPassionate for Hospitality and with a strong attitude to interpersonal relationshipsGood telephone persona with a friendly and helpful demeanourExcellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and ExcelKnowledge of Opera Cloud is highly regarded.At Meliá we are all VIPAt Meliá Hotels International, we are committed to equal opportunities between women and men in the workplace, with the commitment of management and the principles contained in Human Resources policies.
