- Take ownership and manage M&A mandates at every stage of the process, from proposal to final delivery and closure;
- Manage buy-side and sell-side transactions across a wide range of industries;
- Build strong relationships with clients as we help them navigate through stages in their transaction life cycle;
- Analyse client/target company data to identify historical and projected financial and operating trends, quality; of earnings and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks, which impact valuation and negotiation;
- Identify and articulate value drivers, synergies, and potential deal breakers, assessing their implications for pricing, transaction structure, and negotiation outcomes;
- Prepare, review, and present M&A-focused deliverables, including KPMG-branded reports, investment memoranda, board-level presentations, and transaction support materials tailored to specific deal issues;
- Contribute to the development of go-to-market strategies and commercial positioning, helping to structure and present possible engagement commercials;
- Develop and maintain technical M&A knowledge resources and training content, supporting capability building, best-practice execution, and effective resource deployment across Deal advisory team;
- Keep abreast of M&A trends, local market dynamics, and investor sentiment, leveraging market insights to inform transaction execution, positioning, and client advice;
- Collaborate as part of a team and with other functions within the firm and the wider KPMG M&A network, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Significant experience in M&A, ideally within a Big 4 or top-tier advisory firm;
- Strong understanding of the M&A lifecycle, due diligence, financial analysis, and commercial structuring;
- Excellent financial modelling skills;
- A degree in Accountancy, or Finance from a recognised professional or academic body (e.g., ACCA, CPA, University);
- Proven project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and lead both clients and internal teams;
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal - with a clear, confident, and commercial approach;
- International exposure and/or cross-border transaction experience is highly valued;
- Willingness and eligibility to relocate to Malta (Europe), if currently abroad.
