What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading, coordinating, and controlling all activities within the Finishing department to ensure products and services are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  • Empowering your team through coaching, training, and effective delegation to achieve KPI targets and resolve issues at source.
  • Leading by example—engaging, inspiring, and motivating others to continuously improve and deliver exceptional performance.
  • Developing individuals through structured coaching and mentoring, supporting multi‑skilling models such as 1‑2‑1 and 1‑3‑1.
  • Delivering against quality, cost, and delivery targets using Lean Manufacturing tools and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Championing lean methodologies and best‑practice techniques to enhance efficiency and operational performance.
  • Ensuring optimal utilisation of equipment, labour, and resources within the area.
  • Maintaining compliance with Quality, HSE, and Security standards.
  • Ensuring effective communication through team briefs, 1‑1s, and visible management systems, cascading priorities and providing clear feedback on KPIs.
  • Supporting the development and use of FMEAs, Control Plans, SOPs, Risk Assessments, Work Instructions, and data analysis to strengthen process capability and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
  • Preference for candidates with an MQF level 6 certification
  • A technical degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field. Preference will be given to candidates who hold an MQF level 6 certification
  • Experience in manufacturing operations with knowledge of personalisation and automated inspection
  • Need to be fluent with Microsoft applications
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing techniques, including lean manufacturing principles.
  • Awareness of quality assurance standards and practices.
  • Solid problem‑solving capability and a structured approach to issue resolution.
  • Training or experience in Operational Excellence.
  • Understanding of budgetary controls and variance analysis in an operations environment.
  • Ability to code or use digital tools to automate tasks, analyse data, or improve operational processes.
  • Experience in leading improvement projects, Kaizen events, or structured continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop people within a team‑based environment.
