The Operations Manager will be responsible for the complete day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring all departments operate smoothly and efficiently. This role plays a vital part in maintaining exceptional service standards, coordinating teams, managing events, and safeguarding both guest experience and operational excellence across the site.Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Oversee the full daily operation of the venue, ensuring seamless coordination between all departments and consistently high service standards. Develop, refine, and implement operational processes to support efficiency, consistency, and quality delivery.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead, support, and inspire operational teams to perform at their best while maintaining a strong service culture. Manage staffing requirements in line with operational demands and event schedules, while supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training activities.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure every guest interaction reflects a premium and personalised experience aligned with the venue’s concept. Address and resolve guest feedback or operational issues promptly, professionally, and effectively.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Maintain full compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards. Embed safe working practices across all teams and ensure ongoing awareness and adherence to operational safety procedures in a controlled environment.
  • Planning & Operational Delivery: Coordinate closely with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of events and daily operations. Anticipate operational challenges and implement proactive solutions to maintain continuity and efficiency.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
  • Education: Relevant qualification in hospitality, events management, business administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Experience: Proven extensive experience in an operations management role within hospitality, events, or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with teams, guests, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Confident, approachable, and able to build strong working relationships across diverse teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with operational systems used in hospitality or event environments.
  • Organisation: Highly organised with strong planning abilities and attention to detail in a fast-moving setting.
  • Self-Motivated: Proactive, driven, and able to take ownership of responsibilities without close supervision.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to remain calm under pressure and implement practical, effective solutions quickly.
