- Oversee and manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee relations, for both office-based and shop-floor staff in the steel manufacturing plant.
- Maintain strong relationships with employees and management, providing support on HR matters, including conflict resolution, performance reviews, and career development.
- Ensure that all HR policies and practices comply with Maltese labor laws, health and safety regulations, and EU employment standards.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and recognition schemes that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Assist with the recruitment of skilled technical and engineering staff, focusing on attracting talent with relevant experience in industrial and manufacturing settings.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee records, in compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR).
- Assist with payroll queries and support benefits administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of Maltese employment laws and EU employment regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Proficiency with HRIS software, recruitment platforms, and payroll systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage employee relations effectively within a manufacturing context.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple HR functions simultaneously.
