Finance Analyst

• Support ongoing portfolio management across the client lifecycle, analysing client collateral reports, financial statements, monthly management accounts, short-term cash flow forecasts, and covenant reporting, providing insights on variances, risk, and trading performance
• Reconcile audited accounts with management accounts and prepare monthly portfolio update reports for senior management and board distribution
• Prepare and issue client invoices, manage payments for operational expenses, and support the preparation and review of monthly management accounts, financial and covenant reports for lenders, and actual vs. budget variance analysis, updating forecasts and explaining key performance drivers
• Collaborate with the wider group finance team and external auditors, preparing documentation, responding to queries, and ensuring proper accounting treatment for new transactions, amendments, and loan repayments
• Perform checks on documentation and collateral to validate loan security, monitor funding sources, and support KYC/AML compliance, while assisting in updates to internal processes, procedures, and policy documentation
• Support the onboarding of new clients, preparing collateral and financial monitoring templates, attending credit committee meetings, recording minutes, and providing ad-hoc analysis and input for credit papers

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification
• Experience in transactions, lending, or advisory roles is desirable but not essential
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in financial analysis, due diligence, or preparing/reviewing financial models is a plus
• Strong lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
