Reservations Agent

• Ensure the accuracy of the inputted information into the reservations system.
• Immediately inform the Reservations Manager of any concerns related to tight booking situations.
• Liaise and collaborate with all departments concerned to ensure a smooth running of the operation.
• Handle 'no shows' in accordance with the company standards and procedures.
• Ensure a systematic and orderly filing system of reservations correspondence and other papers and data.
• Ensure effective networking and communication with outside bodies in order to inform them of room availability.
• Handle telephone reservations queries/ complaints in accordance with the company's procedures.
• Check the following day's arrivals and correspondence to ensure the accuracy of information.
• Ensure upselling of rooms

• A good standard of education
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another European language will be an advantage.
• Smart in appearance and highly organised professional.
• Experience within the hospitality industry will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to work on own initiative and take decisions without supervision.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Willing to travel to different work locations.
