A boutique Maltese accounting and auditing firm combining local and international expertise to provide financial guidance and growth-focused advisory services is seeking a Tax Associate to join their team.In this role, you will support a diverse client portfolio, assist with tax compliance and reporting, liaise with authorities, and contribute to complex tax analysis while gaining hands-on experience in Maltese taxation.This is a hybrid role with flexible hours and offers a salary of up to €45K depending on education and experience.Role & ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of clients across various industries and assist with the preparation and submission of Income Tax returns, refund claims, and other tax documentationAssist clients with complex transactions and provide guidance on tax complianceLiaise with Malta tax authorities, including responding to notices and coordinating with relevant entities as requiredStay up to date with all Malta tax legislative updates and assist with research and analysis on complex tax scenarios under guidanceEducation, Skills & ExperienceBachelor's in Accounting or a related field, or ACCA / nearing completion of ACCA qualifications2+ years of work experience in MaltaFluency in English at C2 or native levelGood understanding and working knowledge of MS Office, especially ExcelExcellent listener with strong communication skillsOrganised with a keen eye for detailAble to work independently and in a teamStrong multitasking and time management skillsAbout the RoleCompetitive salary of up to €45K, depending on experienceHybrid role with flexible working hours; core office hours from 9:00 - 15:00Office location - BirkirkaraTeam building and company eventsMobile allowanceClear career growth opportunitiesSponsorship for yearly professional training, seminars, webinars, and conferencesApply with your detailed CV, please.*JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
