We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Architect to join our growing team in Birkirkara who will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining the organization's data infrastructure.The Data Architect will ensure the integrity, security, scalability and alignment of data architecture with business goals and technical strategies. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders across teams to manage data flows and create a unified data strategy.This role offers a hybrid work setup, providing flexibility to work both remotely and in-office, helping you achieve a balanced professional and personal life.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable and efficient data architecture solutions to meet business needsDefine processes for data integration, storage, retrieval and governance practicesImplement best practices for data security, regulatory compliance and data quality monitoringDesign data integration pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, transforming and storing structured and unstructured dataCollaborate in the development and optimization of data lakes, data warehouses and other storage mechanismsDesign and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using tools such as Airflow, Glue or similarLead the design of data models (Star/Snowflake schema, data vault, etc.) for analytics and operational reportingDrive performance tuning, cost optimization and best practices in Snowflake and across the data stackRequirements4+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture rolesProficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL and modern data pipeline frameworks (Airflow)Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache Nifi) and data integration frameworksProficiency in data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, PowerDesigner or similar)Strong experience with AWS cloud services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation/TerraformWorking experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelinesFluency in EnglishNice to haveHands-on experience with Snowflake (warehousing, performance tuning, data sharing)Good knowledge of BI tools like Power BI or TableauKnowledge of data lake architecture and streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis)Certifications in Snowflake or AWSWe offer/Benefits
