- Support the Head Chef in the supervision and coordination of all kitchen departments;
- Assist the Head Chef with menu planning, recipe standardization, and SOP's;
- Monitor stock levels, requisitions to maintain optimal inventory and minimize food costs;
- Maximize kitchen productivity by effectively managing rosters while maintaining cost efficiency;
- Control and minimize food wastage;
- Enforce compliance with all company health, safety, and hygiene standards (including HACCP);
- Oversee daily food production, ensuring timely preparation and high-quality;
- Support the Head Chef with departmental administration and recordkeeping;
- Foster a positive and efficient kitchen culture through teamwork, clear communication, and ongoing staff development.
- Strong leadership and communication skills;
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food costing, and hygiene standards;
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production timelines;
- Flexibility to work on roster basis Monday to Sunday between 6am- 5pm;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Candidates must be located in Malta with the eligibility to work.
- Proven experience in a Sous Chef or similar senior kitchen role is a must;
- Formal culinary training or equivalent experience.
