An opportunity has arisen for interested candidates to join PTL Ltd as a Software Engineer. Based in Malta and reporting to the Head of Software Engineering and Business Applications, the successful applicant will join the Software Development team which develops and maintains tailor made solutions and inhouse products.The PositionThe Software Engineer will provide strategic technical input and technical designs, to develop and unit-test solutions which have a solid technical architecture and software engineering rigour, and liaise with the customer, account management, business development and services teams.The Software Engineer shall proactively contribute and develop PTL's current products according to technical roadmaps; contributes to implementing innovative technologies for greater efficiencies and improved quality; provide analysis, debugging and troubleshooting of third level support calls; and deliver optimized code with excellent performance attributes.The CompanyPTL is a long-established IT company providing enterprise-level IT solutions in Malta and it forms part of Harvest Technology plc. PTL's multi-disciplinary team services a prestigious client base in Malta.The RequirementsThe selected candidate will be a dedicated technology professional who is able to bring ideas, solutions and energy to a team environment. Preferred candidates will possess a degree in Computer Science (MQF level 6 or above) or similar, and a minimum of two years of experience working with .NET framework, .NET Core, C#, ASP .NET, MVC 5 and above, ASP Web Forms, VB .NET, ADO .NET, Entity Framework, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap, Angular, React, HTML, CSS, Web APIs (REST and SOAP), GIT and ANSI SQL.Candidates must possess excellent problem-solving skills and love technical challenges, be self-motivated, have a can-do attitude, be able to multi-task, be willing to work offsite at client sites and have experience in an Agile development environment.What We OfferA remuneration package commensurate to the applicant's experience and ability to display aptitude shall be offered to the right candidate.
