- Help the supervisor to ensure adequate supply of materials for smooth work flow and maintain good evidence of stock keeping.
- Ensure professional storage of product including checks of expiry dates.
- Observes health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness of production area under his responsibility and employees appearance and ensure employees maintain a high level of personal hygiene.
- Ensure preparation according to the quality standards required by customer.
- Ensure that the temperature, quality and quantity and type of meal agree to the correct specifications.
- Ensure that the hygiene standards are strictly maintained in their section.
- Ensures that all security measures stipulated by the company are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain a high level of personal hygiene, be well groomed and wear clean uniform.
- Ensure that belt does not stop, maximising all working hours.
- Production levels must be controlled and reached daily.
- Daily time schedules must be carefully followed.
- Be aware that everyone carries the responsibility of what they are doing. Also checking that when the tray is passing in front of them they have a good glance and inform the person concerned if there is something missing.
- Ensure that all items are kept in the fridge and must be date coded and covered.
- Ensuring that best before dates being used are always used accordingly. Correct circulation i.e. first in first out must be carefully administered.
- Report any product which has past its best before date to the Supervisor.
- Report to the Supervisor any faulty equipment.
- Maintain a healthy relationship with supervisor, superiors, piers and subordinates alike.
- Fosters a feeling of belonging to the company in all the department’s employees.
- Inspires understanding amongst all employees in his department and in all other departments.
- Observes the Health and Safety, Security and Hygiene policies of the company.
- Must project a good image in terms of personality and appearance at all times.
