Workplace Type: hybridJob Description:About the RoleSmart Technologies Ltd (STL) is looking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Network Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise network solutions.This is a senior-level role that requires deep technical expertise in major vendors including Aruba, Fortinet, and Ruckus Networks, strong project and pre-sales capabilities, and the ability to mentor a growing team of network engineers. The successful candidate will play a key role in technical leadership, customer engagement, and continuous improvement of STL’s secured networking practice.Key Responsibilities
  • Take technical ownership of STL’s networking portfolio, focusing on Aruba, Fortinet, and Ruckus solutions
  • Lead the design and architecture of secure, scalable, and high-performance network infrastructures across enterprise, multi-site, and hybrid environments
  • Collaborate with STL’s sales and bid teams to deliver pre-sales support, including technical presentations, solution design, and BoQ preparation
  • Lead the technical response to tenders and RFPs, ensuring compliance with client requirements and vendor best practices
  • Provide ongoing mentorship to STL’s network engineering team, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development
  • Oversee and maintain technical documentation, including high-level and low-level designs, implementation plans, and network diagrams
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex networking issues during implementation and support phases
  • Stay up to date with evolving technologies and maintain current certifications with STL’s core networking vendors
  • Participate in vendor training, exams, and certifications to keep STL’s partner status in good standing
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in network engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or architecture role
  • Strong technical knowledge of networking solutions vendors
  • Solid experience with routing protocols and enterprise wireless
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering enterprise network solutions
  • Demonstrated experience with pre-sales and tender responses in the IT or networking sector
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
