- Answer all incoming calls promptly and courteously.
- Handle bookings accurately and keep messages updated.
- Provide guests with accurate information on the outlet and hotel.
- Assist in maximizing table occupancy and managing waiting lists.
- Monitor future booking constraints.
- Maintain knowledge of all foods and drinks offered.
- Keep guest profiles updated in the booking system.
- Communicate reservations to the Manager or Headwaiter on duty.
- Coordinate large bookings with the Manager before confirmation.
- Greet guests warmly, using their names, and escort them to their seats.
- Engage naturally with guests and upsell where appropriate.
- Report complaints or comments to the Manager/Headwaiter.
- Promote hotel outlets and services.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
- Excellent guest service skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised.
- High standard of personal presentation.
- Confident, professional, and welcoming personality.
- Very good spoken and written English.
- Flexibility to work in shifts.
- Hands-on experience with cash handling and ideally Micros Simphony POS.
- Valid local Food Handling License in accordance with the Food Safety Commission of Malta.
