Join the team at DoubleTree by Hilton Malta, a distinguished 4-star property nestled along the stunning seaside of St Paul’s Bay!We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to become an integral part of our Engineering team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of all technical services, including managing the plant room and maintaining hotel equipment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and maintain the plant room operations, including boilers, chillers, pumps, and water systems.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various hotel departments.
  • Diagnose issues and repair equipment and systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, kitchen and laundry equipment).
  • Maintain logs of work completed, materials used, and report issues to supervisors.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, including fire safety systems.
  • Support in hotel energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability programs.
  • Collaborate with external contractors when required.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Technician in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of plant room operations and building services systems.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
  • Technical diploma or certification in a relevant field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
