Leads internal audits to evaluate financial accuracy, compliance, and risk management. Prepares audit reports, identifies control gaps, and recommends improvements. Supports audit planning and guides junior staff to ensure audit objectives are met.GCS Malta is growing, and we are currently actively looking for a Senior Audit Associate to join our fantastic team. If you have previous experience in auditing and you are currently looking for a new role, then this one is for you! Preparing audit planning, testing and completion of clients assigned. Assigning work to juniors/associates on any tasks which they can help with, and giving the appropriate coaching. Initiation and execution of planning meeting with Audit Supervisor/Audit Manager. Finalisation of final balances and preparation of financial statements. Communication to client for any audit inquiries and significant audit issues noted within the course of audit. Assists Audit Supervisor/Audit Manager with the engagement activities and status of the audit. Inform supervisor/manager on status of ongoing audits (i.e., when it started, any arising issues and completion). Assisting with induction of junior/audit associates. Audit and certify organisations and organisational development. Make recommendations about development
Determine or introduce methods and procedures for audits. Check implementation and suggest adjustments
Prepare elements of an audit. Send them to accountant/controller... or analyse them
Plan or execute audits of accounts in companies. Provide expertise on tax regulations
Execute audits (find accounting documents, check applied rules of functioning, meet concerned employees...)
Validate internally generated schedules (production cost, ...). Draw up summary tables for results analysis
Check regularity and reliability of transactions. Check financial position of the organisation
Handle files, follow-up disputes of private persons or companies (investigating the balance, exemption procedure...)
Identify and disclose irregularities or inaccuracies determined during examinations or checks
Analyse reasons for losses and evolutions in financial resources and clients' accounts and present corrective measures
Administer clients' portfolio; present closed accounts and provide management advice
Follow-up internal audits. Check implementation of operational and judicial procedures
Follow-up organisations having difficulties; advise according to indicators analysis (budget plans, monthly margins...)
