The Executive (ICT Support) plays a key role in delivering first-line technical support and maintaining ICT infrastructure across multiple locations. This role supports staff in their ICT needs, manages inventory and core systems, and assists in the implementation of new technologies and digital services. The Executive ensures effective operation of ICT systems in alignment with national ICT policies and organizational standards, participates in system testing, provides training and documentation, and works collaboratively with third-party service providers. The role also supports projects related to new site setups, system migrations, and refurbishment works, while promoting continuous improvement and ICT security best practices.Key Responsibilities:Technical Support & Helpdesk Services
  • Provide first-line support for ICT hardware and software issues via phone, email, remote, or on-site.
  • Assist staff in resolving ICT issues, including data migration and equipment setup.
  • Offer technical assistance in the use of core applications and operating systems.
System Administration & Security
  • Administer user accounts and security rights.
  • Ensure internal ICT procedures align with national ICT policies.
  • Maintain safety and security standards for ICT equipment and environments.
Network & Infrastructure Maintenance
  • Oversee maintenance of network infrastructure and data rooms/cabinets.
  • Assist in planning and implementing ICT setups for refurbishment projects and new locations.
ICT Projects & Implementation
  • Support the analysis, evaluation, procurement, and implementation of ICT hardware and software.
  • Liaise with third-party providers to ensure effective ICT service delivery.
  • Raise requests for provisioning, updating, or terminating ICT services.
Data Management & Content Updates
  • Maintain and manage ICT inventory, including both tangible and intangible assets.
  • Provide and analyze data for verification and reporting.
  • Update website content and data via CMS platforms as required.
Testing & Documentation
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of system applications and enhancements.
  • Prepare technical reports, user guides, and documentation as needed.
Collaboration & Representation
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with other units and departments to ensure effective ICT service delivery.
Continuous Improvement & Development
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and ICT developments.
  • Promote efficiency, security, and innovation in ICT support practices.
  • Attend training and courses to support professional development.
Other Duties
  • Perform additional ICT-related tasks or projects as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality while ensuring relevant information is shared with management.
  • Support emergency response coordination during unexpected events.

must be in possession of:An Advanced Level qualification in Computing and two (2)other subjects at Intermediate Level;OR
  • In possession of six (6) subjects at Ordinary Level with good
pass grades (1-5 or A-C) which must include English, Maltese,
Mathematics, and Computing Studies, and have at least one
(1) year of relevant work experience in ICT support;OR
  • Have a minimum two (2) years’ relevant work experience in
ICT support, including networking and network infrastructure
and/or computer repairs;AND
  • Must be proficient in the Maltese and English languages.
Since this role involves onsite technical support at any of the
Servizz.gov premises, applicants in possession of a valid driving license and a vehicle will be given priority.Annual basic salary attached to this position is €25,083, with annual increments. In addition to the basic salary, this position includes an annual performance allowance of €800, subject to performance and in line with the Agency’s performance review program.SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION1.
