Our Client is seeking a Digital Identity Junior Consultant to support its Cybersecurity & Trust function, with a particular emphasis on digital identity frameworks at both national and EU level. This role involves evaluating compliance within the evolving digital identity landscape, contributing to regulatory oversight, and supporting the development of forward-looking policies and frameworks.Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Oversight: Monitor and assess adherence of trust service providers and digital identity solutions to applicable European digital identity regulations and associated standards.
  • Compliance Assessments: Participate in reviews, evaluations, and audit-related activities to ensure that technical, security, and operational requirements are consistently met.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the drafting and enhancement of internal policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks related to trust services and digital identity systems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong working relationships with regulated entities, industry stakeholders, and relevant authorities, providing guidance on regulatory expectations and best practices.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare structured reports outlining compliance outcomes, risk considerations, and findings from assessments, while also supporting knowledge-sharing initiatives and training efforts.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related discipline, accompanied by relevant professional experience; alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Exposure to cybersecurity, digital identity frameworks, regulatory environments, or compliance-related roles, ideally within a technology-driven or regulated setting.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex technical and regulatory concepts clearly through both written documentation and verbal interaction.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong collaboration skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory counterparts.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with digital identity ecosystems, cybersecurity principles, and regulatory frameworks such as EU digital policies is considered advantageous, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Organisation: Capable of managing multiple assignments, maintaining structured documentation, and meeting deadlines in a regulated environment.
  • Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements, identify risks, and recommend practical solutions.
