We are looking to recruit a seasoned Senior Database Administrator for our office in Malta, who will be responsible for optimizing the database performance and scaling, as well as pro-active database disaster prevention & recovery. As Senior Database Administrator (m/f/d) you will be responsible for SQL profiling, as well as splitting user data and log data from transactions in the database.
Further you will write migration files and handle other structural database changes.
You will also create operational runbooks, update knowledge base, install guides, learn courses and other types of documentation.
In addition, you will also give recommendations for the developers about best practices regarding the database and communicate constantly with application developers.
Last but not least, you will implement and successfully support all teams in their implementation as a part of a global support team, as well as troubleshoot servers performance and availability issues.

Qualifications:

5+ years experience working as a database administrator
Expert in SQL queries
Expert in database optimization
Experienced in building complex scripts, queries, and stored procedures
Good knowledge of MSSQL architecture
HA/DR configuration
Experience with Amazon RDS
