
Accounts Clerk

- Record and verify details of financial transactions, including incoming and outgoing funds and other business activities
- Manage general ledger entries, including preparing account analyses and journal entries
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records, and implement corrective measures as needed
- Calculate and document charges for refunds, lost items, service fees, rentals, and related expenses
- Prepare and distribute invoices, checks, account statements, financial reports, and related documents
- Coordinate with auditors to compile and submit required audit schedules
- Generate and distribute debtor and creditor reports and statements
- Ensure compliance with the company’s financial policies and procedures
- Carry out routine office tasks such as handling mail and emails, answering customer calls, ordering supplies, and performing printing, scanning, and filing duties
- Maintain organized filing systems for documents, correspondence, and records to ensure easy retrieval and tracking of outgoing materials
- Stay informed on current trends and updates in the field of accounting
- At least two years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role
- Proficient in using accounting software and general computer applications
- Capable of comprehending and following detailed oral and written instructions, including technical and legal terminology
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to tasks
- Able to handle high volumes of numerical data efficiently and with a high degree of accuracy
