- Prepare and present high-quality dishes within your designated section, ensuring they meet the hotel's standards and menu specifications.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control during all services.
- Oversee the daily operations of your section and ensure it is fully prepared for service.
- Assist with mise en place and ensure ingredients are properly prepared and organised.
- Monitor stock levels within your section and ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients.
- Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness in all kitchen areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and HACCP standards.
- Support and guide Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff when required.
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
- Relevant culinary qualification or professional culinary training.
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi Chef de Partie in a reputable hotel or restaurant environment.
- Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.
- Team-oriented with good communication and organisational skills.
- Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Currently residing in Malta and eligible to work locally.
