The Storekeeper is responsible for overseeing the efficient storage, handling, and distribution of goods within the facility. The role requires a responsible individual having strong leadership and organisational capabilities as this is a key position within the company that demands reliability, and a high level of accountability.Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods.

Accept and manage items returned by delivery personnel, making sure they are properly recorded and either put back into stock or dealt with as needed.

Participate in regular stocktaking activities to ensure accurate inventory records and assist in identifying any discrepancies.

Optimise warehouse layout and storage systems for maximum efficiency across and in multiple locations.

Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, electric pallet trucks & high reach truck).

Train and mentor warehouse staff to improve performance and adherence to procedures.

Resolve any issues related to shipments, stock shortages, or damaged goods.

Perform other related duties as assigned, in line with the responsibilities of the role.

Skills & Requirements:

Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar leadership role.

Fluency in both Maltese and English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken form

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.

Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.

Basic computer skills (MS Office, such as MS Outlook and Excel).

Proficiency in using ERP or warehouse management systems.

Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift and move items as needed.

Must possess a valid forklift certification and demonstrable experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery.

Possession of a valid C1 or C driving license is preferred but not mandatory
