OverviewAbout the DepartmentThe Data Management and Business Intelligence (BI) function ensures timely and effective decision-making across the Authority through more effective data and records management, and business intelligence reporting, to support risk-based supervision. The team is responsible for driving data governance, data quality management and integrity, as well as data architecture. The function also manages a centralised data warehouse and BI analytics platform to provide ongoing insights, analyses and operational dashboards for end users.The RoleThe Senior Data Architect is responsible for the producing and managing the design of the overall enterprise data model and workflows. This role ensures that any data solutions developed for the end user respect sound data modelling principles to achieve high quality, usable, and accessible data. This position also involves strategic decision-making to optimize data management across the enterprise.Duties
Work closely with the business teams, data governance team and project management team to define a data quality strategy for the enterprise.
Define data architecture elements including conceptual data models, meta data definition and related data validations
Analyse, design, and document workflows and data models to support a robust data architecture.
Identify potential root causes for data quality issues, propose solutions, and discuss options and outcomes with relevant data and technical stakeholders.
Participate in peer reviews of systems upgrades, workflows, and data flows developed by other members of the Data Management and Business Intelligence team.
In liaison with other data management colleagues plan and develop the data architecture in support of upcoming features and capabilities on the roadmap
Provide as-needed support in defining technical data requirements and conducting testing for systems and strategic platforms.
About you
Degree in Computer Information Systems or similar at MQF Level 6
Proficient in database technologies, enterprise data modelling and knowledgeable of the different techniques and standards for delivering high quality data architecture
You will also possess a minimum of 5 years work experience in Enterprise Web Applications as well as Database operations and SQL in a Microsoft stack environment.
If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least seven (7) years of relevant experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you.Soft skills
