Reporting directly to the Head of IT Infrastructure, this role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation and growth of their IT systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management, optimization, and expansion of their Azure and Office 365 environments, together with the management of their corporate network setup (Fortinet) and on-prem servers. This role requires a strong technical background, project management skills, and the ability to provide both day-to-day support and strategic solutions.Key Responsibilities:Azure and Office 365 Management:Design, implement, and maintain Azure and Office 365 environments to meet organizational needs. Monitor and optimize Azure resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Oversee user access, security settings, and compliance within Azure and Office 365 platforms. In-Tune management across all devices. Licensing ownership. Collaborate with the IT team to ensure data protection and adherence to security policies.Project Management:Lead and manage projects related to Azure and Office 365, from planning to execution and completion. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and the IT leadership team. Support and own the Fortinet firewalls deployed across our schools.Business-as-Usual (BAU) Support:Perform daily operational tasks, including backup checks, Windows patching, SSL certificates management, and system monitoring. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure, Office 365, and related systems. Migration of on-premises systems to SharePoint/OneDrive, and management of on-prem Active Directory/AzureAD. Provide timely incident response and root cause analysis for critical incidents.Development Team Support:Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth functioning of systems supporting the development lifecycle. Assist in the deployment of new systems to support growth and innovation. Provide technical guidance and support to the development team on infrastructure-related matters.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and best practices. Share knowledge with team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes.Education Required:Either a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent MCAST qualification or equivalent experience.Experience Required:At least 2-3 years of experience in managing and administering Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.Required Skills:Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining security monitoring and incident response. Strong understanding of cloud security principles, practices, and industry best practices. Familiarity with scripting and automation tools to streamline operational tasks. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis. Knowledge of security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability management. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively. Experience in DevSecOps methodologies is considered a plus. Experience building and deploying applications to the cloud (Azure) Ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision and to integrate well within a team. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
