OverviewThomas Smith & Co. Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Airfreight Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless coordination of airfreight shipments, working closely with courier partners, airlines, and internal departments to deliver efficient and reliable logistics solutions.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service. If you take pride in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring shipments reach their destination on time, we would be delighted to hear from you.Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate airfreight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including airwaybills and customer billing.
  • Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders and other service providers to negotiate rates and obtain flight itineraries.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure we are meeting their expectations.
  • Communicate with clients regarding shipment status, delivery timelines and any potential delays or issues.
  • To deliver a stellar service and provide a positive experience to all customers
  • To work closely with our overseas agents to ensure a smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment lifecycle.
  • To prepare proposals for both import and export airfreight enquiries using the appropriate software
  • Ensure all shipments comply with relevant IATA, ISO, airline standard regulations and procedures.
  • Co-ordinate collections and deliveries of all airfreight shipments with the respective hauler as per customer's requirements

RequirementsStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishGood organizational and time-management skillsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyProficient in using computers and standard office applicationsAbility to work independently while also collaborating with a team Education and ExperienceDiploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field will be considered an asset.Previous experience in administration, courier services, or logistics operations is advantageous.
