The Market Modelling Analyst will support research, data analysis, reporting, and modelling initiatives across regulated sectors. This role contributes directly to operational objectives, providing insights that inform strategic decisions and regulatory actions. The position involves collaboration across teams to enhance regulatory outcomes and maintain market integrity.Key Responsibilities
  • Market Research & Analysis: Gather and interpret data relating to electronic communications and postal services, assessing trends, economic factors, and sector developments.
  • Data Compilation & Quality Assurance: Prepare, validate, and report datasets from internal and external sources to support accurate and actionable insights.
  • Strategic Reporting: Conduct in-depth research, summarise findings, and offer recommendations to guide decision-making within the regulatory framework.
  • Regulatory Modelling Support: Assist with the development of models relating to pricing, cost analysis, benchmarking, and compliance monitoring.
  • Framework Implementation & Support: Contribute to the application of EU regulations and internal policies, while completing additional tasks as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
  • Education: MQF Level 7 in statistics, economics, accountancy, or related business discipline, or MQF Level 6 with a minimum of two years relevant experience.
  • Experience: Prior experience in analytical research, data modelling, or regulatory environments is advantageous.
  • Language Skills: Strong command of English is essential; knowledge of Maltese is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex information clearly through written reports and presentations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative and capable of working effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with IT tools, including data analytics software and office applications.
  • Organisation: Strong planning and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Self-Motivated: Capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of accountability.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in interpreting data and offering practical, evidence-based solutions.
