Warehouse Assistant

• Reporting to the Senior Warehouse Coordinator, the Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for:

• Picking orders and loading consignments for deliveries in accordance with picking list;

• Locating stock to fulfil orders placed;

• Ensuring the safe stacking of items; monitoring stock levels and advising on 'on the job' stock availability;

• Receiving and storing the delivery of stock daily;

• Undertaking the loading and unloading of consignments of orders and equipment;

• Safely operating a Fork Lift truck;

• Serving customers, as required;

• Carrying out other duties as assigned by one's superior.

• Helping delivery person out on deliveries if required

• Helping installer on small installations if required

• The Warehouse Assistant must be able to read, interpret and carry out written and oral instructions; and must possess a clean police conduct.

• A valid forklift license is required as well as a clean driving license.

• The appointed candidate shall have the ability and willingness to carry out manual handling activities, if and when required.

• Knowledge of H&S regulations applicable to the work context is necessary.
