Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Executive - Food and Beverages to join their Ship Supply team. In this key role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring food and beverage goods and materials essential to the company's operations. Working closely with the team, you'll ensure that purchasing decisions align with the company's goals for cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.This role requires excellent negotiation abilities, and a strong grasp of supply chain and procurement processes.Key Responsibilities include:

Source and procure food and beverages from both local and international suppliers.
Evaluate supplier performance in terms of pricing, quality, and service levels.
Build and maintain strong, reliable relationships with key suppliers to ensure a stable supply chain.
Expand the supplier network to broaden the company's product offerings.
Track and monitor order statuses to ensure prompt delivery.
Handle procurement requests and coordinate timely acquisitions of required goods.
Prepare and issue quotations in response to client inquiries.
Ensure timely and professional communication with clients and suppliers.
Process purchase orders using the company's procurement systems.
Arrange meetings and conduct site visits with current and prospective suppliers.
Prioritize incoming inquiries based on urgency and business needs.
Negotiate terms including pricing, delivery schedules, discounts, and rebate agreements.
Identify opportunities for strategic sourcing and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements

Fluent in English and Maltese, both written and spoken.
2 yrs Experience in purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a related industry.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
