To assist the technical supervisor in ensuring the smooth operation of the engineering department. Remarks: Full time on a contract basis.Execute the planned program for the maintenance and preventative maintenance of all cargo equipment (e.g. fork lifters, roro tractors) To carry out work on cargo equipment according to company procedures To maintain high workmanship quality standards of all equipment To troubleshoot the daily technical problems To ensure the filling-in of preventative maintenance sheets General maintenance sheets Full compliance and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) To maintain good housekeeping practices in all of the above To recommend and maintain adequate equipment feedback with management To be able to interpret drawings To be able to work at heightsIn-house repair work including but not limited to repair of steel gates, containers, bollards and ship’s rail VGT’s Steel fabrication and welding of simple structures including but not limited to signalman post / platform, security gate barrier and forklift spreader To be able to work in a team Other duties that may be required from time to timeProfilesIf multiple Education and Language Profiles are defined, please note that you must fit at least one of them, but not necessarily all.PROFILE 1LanguageReadingSpeakingUnderstandingWritingMALTESEENGLISHISCED Level: Short-cycle tertiary education - Level (5)Competencies
