We offer a range of payment services across multiple channels.As part of our growth strategy, an opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer within our team in Malta. If you have relevant experience and are looking for career advancement this is your opportunity.You will be reporting to the Board of Directors.Key Functions:
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure organisational compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Act as a primary point of contact with regulatory bodies.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
  • Assist in investigating compliance issues, violations, and complaints, and support in implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities, reports, and findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, risk management, and internal audit, to support compliance efforts.
  • Assist in developing and implementing compliance monitoring tools and systems to track and report on compliance activities and performance metrics.
  • Participate in internal committees and working groups to provide expertise on compliance matters and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory developments relevant to the organisation's operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, law, or a related field.
  • 5 years plus in compliance, risk management, auditing, or a related field.
  • Must be already PQd by the MFSA
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Professional certification in compliance (e.g., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) is a plus.
  • Strong ethics and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of compliance and business conduct.
