- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular compliance reviews and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure organisational compliance and mitigate risks.
- Act as a primary point of contact with regulatory bodies.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
- Assist in investigating compliance issues, violations, and complaints, and support in implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities, reports, and findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, risk management, and internal audit, to support compliance efforts.
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance monitoring tools and systems to track and report on compliance activities and performance metrics.
- Participate in internal committees and working groups to provide expertise on compliance matters and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory developments relevant to the organisation's operations.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, law, or a related field.
- 5 years plus in compliance, risk management, auditing, or a related field.
- Must be already PQd by the MFSA
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Professional certification in compliance (e.g., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) is a plus.
- Strong ethics and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of compliance and business conduct.
