Senior Accountant

• Perform bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, including posting invoices, reconciling bank statements, and preparing accruals and pre-payments;
• Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly management accounts;
• Compile and submit VAT returns, tax returns, and tax refund claim forms;
• Review and verify clients’ tax forms to ensure accurate and timely submissions;
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with IFRS and GAPSME frameworks;
• Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and feedback;
• Communicate with clients to obtain required documentation for accounting and tax purposes;
• Research and interpret tax laws, assisting clients with applicable tax credit schemes;
• Respond to notices from tax authorities and liaise with the relevant entities;
• Support non-financial managers by interpreting and presenting financial data;
• Assist management with ad hoc accounting and financial requests.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• Several years of experience in an accounting role, preferably with client portfolio management;
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAPSME standards;
• Proven experience in preparing management accounts, VAT, and tax returns;
• Familiarity with compliance, tax laws, and regulatory frameworks;
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
