As Junior IT Services Specialist, you will provide day-to-day technical support to users through troubleshooting, remote assistance, and clear communication. You will play an important role in ensuring that technical issues are resolved quickly while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting continuous improvements in IT processes.
You will also support the wider IT and project management teams by assisting with testing, quality assurance activities, and end-user training for development-related projects.Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking technical support via phone and email
- Determine the most effective solutions based on the issues reported by users
- Guide users through troubleshooting and problem-resolution processes
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate support teams when necessary
- Provide accurate information on IT products and services
- Record technical incidents, issues, and resolutions within internal logs
- Follow up with users to ensure issues are resolved and systems are functioning properly
- Share customer feedback and suggestions with internal teams to support service improvements
- Identify opportunities to improve existing IT support procedures
- Provide end-to-end support on solutions involving development work
- Assist the project management team with development-related initiatives including QA, testing, and end-user training
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional will be considered an advantage
- 1-2 years of experience in IT services or a similar technical support role
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure
- Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Service-oriented mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills
