The IP Network Engineer is the superhero behind the scenes who keeps the entire network running smoothly. From building and securing complex infrastructures to making sure every connection stays fast, stable, and safe, this role is all about making the digital world work flawlessly. Think of it as architect + guardian + troubleshooter + optimizer, all rolled into one.You’ll design powerful networks, tame firewalls, solve tricky outages, plan future upgrades, and support teams across the business. If it moves across the network, you’re the one making sure it gets there. What You’ll Be DoingBuild & Configure
  • Design network plans and set up routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Manage user access and network permissions.
Maintain & Support
  • Run routine system checks, apply updates, and support teams with technical issues.
Protect the Network
  • Manage firewalls, enforce security policies, and safeguard the network from threats.
  • Handle backups and ensure data integrity.
Monitor & Improve
  • Track performance, fix outages, and optimize speed and stability.
Document
  • Create diagrams, record changes, and support project planning.
Key Skills
  • IP addressing, VLANs, BGP, OSPF
  • LAN/WAN troubleshooting
  • Strong problem‑solving and quick learning
  • Ability to work independently and with cross‑functional teams
  • Network security experience

  • Physical: Data centres, corporate offices
  • Virtual: Cloud networks, VPNs
  • Protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, QoS, 802.11, 802.1Q, IPSec
