Head of Tax Advisory

• Strategic Leadership: Guide the development and growth of the Tax Advisory line of business, setting the strategic direction and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Team Management: Build, mentor, and manage a team of tax professionals, fostering ongoing professional development and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
• Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain technical tax knowledge within the team, ensuring compliance with local and international tax legislation, including emerging regulations and frameworks.
• Client Advisory: Provide advanced tax advice to corporate clients, international groups, and high-net-worth individuals, delivering practical and commercially sound solutions.
• Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, prepare and present proposals, and cultivate strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to support growth objectives.

• Education: Fully qualified accountant or tax professional; professional tax certification preferred or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience in taxation, ideally with exposure to managing teams or leading a business line.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English; proficiency in Maltese is an advantage.
• Communication Skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, and client-facing abilities.
• Interpersonal Skills: Proven capacity to build and maintain professional relationships across teams and with clients.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with business development tools such as CRM systems.
• Organisation: Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client expectations effectively.
• Self-Motivated: Demonstrates initiative, drive, and resilience in achieving business goals.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve complex tax issues.
