We are seeking an experienced Head of Private Cloud to lead the strategy, development, and operation of our private cloud capabilities.The WowThe Head of Private Cloud will lead the strategy, development, and operation of our private cloud capabilities, including compute, storage, backup, connectivity, and database platforms that power critical business applications across the enterprise. This role is responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and highly reliable infrastructure services that support a global Betsson organisation. You will work closely with the Head of Public Cloud, who leads infrastructure and cloud capabilities in AWS, ensuring a cohesive hybrid cloud strategy that enables application teams to deploy and operate workloads efficiently across both environments.A taster of what you will be involved with:Private Cloud Strategy & Platform Development
  • Define and execute the strategy for the organization's private cloud platform, aligned with enterprise technology and business goals.
  • Drive the evolution toward modern, automated, and scalable infrastructure platforms.
  • Ensure the private cloud environment supports hybrid and multi-cloud application architectures.
  • Develop platform capabilities that enable self-service and platform consumption for internal teams.
Platform Ownership
  • Oversee the design, lifecycle management, and operational performance of key infrastructure services including:
  • Compute platforms (virtualization, container platforms where applicable)
  • Storage platforms and data services
  • Enterprise backup and recovery solutions
  • Network connectivity and data center infrastructure integration
  • Database platforms supporting enterprise workloads
Service Reliability & Operations
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of all private cloud services.
  • Establish operational standards, service-level objectives (SLOs), and platform reliability metrics.
  • Lead incident management and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure strong integration with IT service management processes.
Hybrid Cloud Alignment
  • Partner closely with the Head of Public Cloud to develop and operate a cohesive hybrid cloud ecosystem.
  • Align architectural standards, networking, security, and operational models between private and public cloud platforms.
  • Enable workload placement strategies that balance performance, compliance, and cost.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and develop teams responsible for private cloud engineering and operations.
  • Foster a culture of automation, reliability engineering, and platform thinking.
  • Support talent development, skills modernization, and technical excellence across the team.
Governance, Security & Compliance
  • Ensure private cloud platforms meet enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with security and risk management teams on infrastructure hardening and compliance.
  • Implement strong governance for platform lifecycle management.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work with enterprise architecture, application teams, and platform engineering groups to ensure infrastructure capabilities support business needs.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendor management on infrastructure technology
What we are looking for
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or data center environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing infrastructure or platform engineering teams.
  • Strong experience with modern private cloud platforms and infrastructure automation.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise infrastructure domains such as compute, storage, networking, and backup.
  • Experience operating large-scale virtualized or cloud-like environments.
  • Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and workload portability.
  • Experience working in global or multi-regional technology organizations.
