We are currently seeking to recruit a Project Assistant - Strategic analysis - interim support for the European Union Agency for Asylum to be based in Malta, HQ. The position: The successful candidate will work on a secondment basis for the awarded contract for the Provision of Interim Services to the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA). EUAA is an EU Regulatory Agency headquartered in Malta whose mandate is to strengthen EU Member States’ practical cooperation on asylum, to support Member States whose asylum systems are under particular pressure and to enhance the implementation of the Common European Asylum System. Job Description (responsibilities): Assist in activities related to the analysis situational awareness or preparedness in relation to international protection in the EU+ Contribute to the production and cross-checking of analytical products and presentations. Perform quantitative data analysis on asylum-related indicators. Support the planning and implementation of strategic analysis projects. Assist in organising queries, surveys, meetings and workshops. Assist in the dissemination of analytical products. Other tasks coordinated by the Strategic Analysis team leader. Minimum qualification: At least a bachelor’s level degree in quantitative disciplines, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, etc. or Political/Social Sciences Minimum experience: Experience in quantitative data analysis using software such as Excel, SPSS, JMP, Python, R, etc. Experience in drafting analytical reports or cross-checking data-heavy publications Rigor, thoroughness and an eye for details will be considered as advantages Remuneration: The position falls in hierarchical Category III and the associated salary is €34,795.80 gross annually in twelve monthly installments.
