- Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical systems and projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Conduct analysis based on project blueprints, specifications, and local electrical regulations in Malta.
- Develop detailed bids by evaluating project scope, materials, labor costs, and risks, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with client needs.
- Analyse costs for efficiency and identify savings opportunities without compromising quality.
- Work with project managers to create realistic budgets that meet financial objectives.
- Work with project teams to gather information for estimates and update cost projections for scope changes.
- Handle cost estimation for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Build relationships with local suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality services, and update cost databases regularly.
- Identify potential project risks and include contingency pricing for unforeseen events.
- Ensure that all estimates comply with Malta's local building codes, health & safety standards, and electrical regulations.
- Maintain organised records of estimates, bids, contracts, and project documentation for audits and future reference.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and local regulations in Malta.
- Familiarity with Malta's construction industry, including local suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory environment, is advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field would be preferred
- Candidates having strong knowledge in cost estimation techniques and project budgeting principles, including proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Excel will be preferred
