- Content Creation: Develop high-quality, customer-centric written content in Portuguese for various customer marketing channels, including email, push, banners, websites, landing pages, product and more. The content should be aligned with customer needs, problems, and interests.
- Market Analysis: Stay ahead of Portuguese market trends, contemporary language trends, and competitor activity to keep our brand embracing the latest advancements.
- Customer Journey Mapping: Support in the creation of targeted content that speaks to customers at different stages of their journey, from awareness through to online play and retention.
- Brand Voice & Tone: Maintain consistency in messaging, ensuring that all content reflects the PokerStars Portuguese Tone of Voice, adapting to the customer segment and more recent insights available to you. Own the Portuguese Style Guide, collaborating with other teams to ensure this is embedded across all Portuguese Content.
- Collaboration with Marketing Teams: Work closely with the Marketing Team, Customer Marketing Squad, Brand Team and Localisation Team alongside wider organisation teams (e.g., Generosity, Insights etc.) to develop content plans and ensure alignment with overall marketing activities and business goals
- SEO and Optimization: You will be asked to contribute to the creation of SEO content for Portugal, following guidelines to improve content visibility in search engines and ensure high engagement across digital platforms. You will be required to optimize content for specific customer segments, bringing to bear analytics to understand performance.
- Content Localization: Ensure that content resonates with the regional diversity of Portuguese speaking audiences and with the audience segmentation you are communicating to.
- Customer Feedback Integration: Use customer insights, feedback, and data analytics to continuously refine content and make data-driven decisions to improve customer engagement and retention.
- Compliance & Regulation: Ensure all content adheres to the legal requirements set by SRIJ (Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos) and promotes Responsible Gambling.
- Campaign Support: Assist in the development of customer-centric customer marketing campaigns, providing relevant content for promotions, new products and seasonal marketing initiatives.
- Performance Reporting: Track the success of communications, monitor important measures, and adjust plans based on performance data.
- Proven experience in content writing, with a focus on customer marketing. Experience in writing poker and/or casino content hugely beneficial.
- Experience writing in Portuguese for various audiences, particularly in the context of customer marketing and customer engagement.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of content management systems (CMS), ContentStack and workflow tool Jira a huge plus.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Portuguese with exceptional writing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Fluent in English.
- 1–3 years of experience in Content Writing, Copywriting, or Journalism (iGaming experience is a massive plus).
- Strong understanding of customer personas, buyer behaviors, and the customer journey.
- Creative, with the ability to develop fresh and engaging content that resonates with target audiences.
- Attention to detail, with a focus on producing error-free and high-quality content.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
